Boko Imama and Jan Jeni were both assessed a five-minute major penalty for fighting.

"Guys will challenge me, and I'm not the type to back down," said Imama when asked about the fight against Jenik.

Pens GM Kyle Dubas expressed his appreciation for Imama's contributions to the team. He highlighted Imama's toughness and noted that he has proven his ability to compete at the NHL level.

"Obviously he’s a very tough customer. But there’s a good player there as well. He’s been able to come up and play in the NHL," Dubas said.

Allan Walsh, the agent of both Imama and Jenik, reacted to their fight. He said:

"Not fun as an agent watching #NotedClients Jan Jeník of Ottawa and Boko Imama of Pittsburgh fight each other tonight. Having represented both players for several years, I can tell you that I wouldn’t fight either one of them. They are both tough as nails."

Boko Imama and Penguins down Ottawa Senators in preseason

The Pittsburgh Penguins secured their first preseason game after beating the Ottawa Senators 5-2 at the annual Hockeyville event in Sudbury on Sunday.

The Senators got off to a quick start after Nick Cousins put them up 1-0 less than five minutes into the opening period. However, just three minutes later, Sidney Crosby equalized for the Pens before Tim Stutzle restored the 2-1 lead for the Sens.

Evgeni Malkin scored twice in the second period to give the Penguins a 3-2 lead before heading into the final period. Crosby scored his second, while Malkin completed his hattrick after scoring on an empty net at 17:44 to clinch the first win for the team in the preseason.

Malkin notched up four points, while Crosby, Kris Letang, and Bryan Rust all collected two points in the matchup. Boko Imama and the Penguins will host Detroit Red Wings at PPG Paints Arena next in their preseason matchup on Monday.
