WATCH: Chaos ensues from 5v5 line brawl between Jets and Blues in the final seconds of Game 1

Chaos erupted at the end of Game 1 between the Winnipeg Jets and the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night. The incident occurred in the final seconds of the game after the Jets scored three unanswered goals to take a 5-3 lead in the third period.

Jets forward Alex Iafallo fought with Blues' Jake Neighbours, while Neal Pionk squared off against Brayden Schenn. More players joined the scrum as the officials tried to break it up.

Iafallo, Pionk, Mark Scheifele, Schenn, Neighbours, and Pavel Buchnevich all received 10-minute misconduct penalties for their involvement.

The Jets won 5-3 against the Blues. For the Jets, Kyle Connor, Scheifele, Jaret Anderson-Dolan, Iafallo and Lowry netted. Connor Hellebuyck has 14 saves in the victory.

Jordan Kyrou, Oskar Sundqvist and Robert Thomas scored for the Blues. Jordan Binnington stopped 21 shots.

Game 2 is set for Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Canada Life Centre.

Thomas opened the scoring with a power-play goal to put the Blues first at 9:31. But Winnipeg responded with back-to-back goals. Scheifele scored at 13:38 and Anderson-Dolan at 15:02 to take the lead 2-1. Sundqvist leveled things up late in the period 2-2, and Kyrou put St. Louis back in front with a power-play strike just over a minute into the second.

“That first period it was kind of a little bit wacky and we were a little bit sloppy. And then all of a sudden, second period, we started to do some things that we talked about.” Winnipeg HC Scott Arniel said.
“Got some zone time. Started to create chances and then it kind of built towards that third, and it was a real good third period.”

Iafallo evened the score at 9:18 of the third, but Connor answered with a one-timer to put Winnipeg back in front. Lowry secured the 5-3 victory with an empty-net goal at 19:07.
