Watch: Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl bromance on display after stray puck hits Oilers bench
The Edmonton Oilers' dynamic duo of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl was captured in a mic'd up moment last month.
McDavid couldn't contain his laughter after Draisaitl's loud reaction to a flying puck. In the clip, McDavid was caught bursting out laughing, an unusual display from the typically reserved superstar.
The laughter came in response to Draisaitl's humorous "arrrghghhh" outcry during a game moment on the bench, prompting Connor McDavid to jokingly quip:
"Why did you put your head down like that?

The moment was captured during the Oilers' 3-2 victory against the Nashville Predators on Nov. 14, with both Draisaitl and McDavid finishing the night with two points each. It was just a teaser of the mic'd up moment between the two, and more is set to be released on Oilers Plus.
Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl share a deep friendship both on and off the ice, which is further enriched by Lauren Kyle and Celeste Desjardins, McDavid's wife and Draisaitl's girlfriend, respectively.
Connor McDavid picks an assist as Oilers trounce Avalanche
On Saturday, the Edmonton Oilers secured a comprehensive 4-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche at Ball Arena.
Nikola Kovalenko scored the opener for the Avs on the powerplay at 7:02 of the first period, which was the lone goal scored by the home team.
Kasperi Kapanen then scored his debut goal to tie the score at 1-1 at 11:48. In the second period, Vasily Podkolzon extended the visitors' lead to 2-1, which was the only goal scored in the period.
"Tonight, it looks like a good defensive game that we were able to hold them to one goal, but the amount of saves that 'Stu' made, if he doesn't make those saves, we're looking and talking about how poor we were defensively,” Edmonton coach Kris Knoblauch said via NHL.com after the game.
"For coming in here in this building, playing against this team, we feel very happy with that win."
Brett Kulak extended the Oilers' lead to 3-1 on a snapshot at 3:56 before Ryan Nugent-Hopkins' empty-net goals sealed Edmonton's win. It marked the third straight win for the Oilers, who are fourth in the Pacific Division with 28 points.
Stuart Skinner was solid between the pipes, finishing the game with 27 saves and .964 SV%. Meanwhile, Connor McDavid contributed with an assist, bringing his season total to 31 points (12 goals and 19 assists) in 21 games.
The Oilers next travel to T-Mobile Arena to face the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday. The puck drops at 10 p.m. ET.
