Leafs' head coach Craig Berube's temper flared during Wednesday night's heated clash between the Washington Capitals and Toronto Maple Leafs at Capital One Arena.

In the second period, Maple Leafs forward Pontus Holmberg was called for a two-minute minor boarding penalty against Capitals center Nic Dowd.

The call frustrated Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube, who voiced his displeasure to the officials. Berube could be seen on the bench yelling and motioning about the penalty, believing it was a clean hit by Holmberg.

Leafs HC Craig Berube on 4-3 OT win against the Capitals

The Toronto Maple Leafs made a comeback from a two-goal deficit to defeat the Washington Capitals 4-3 in overtime. Leafs head coach Craig Berube was pleased with his team's perseverance.

"They just kept working," Berube said after the game. "Pretty much the whole game, I was happy with how we approached it and played it. We got behind - I get that - but in the second period, from the 10-minute mark on, we started to really press and do some good things in the offensive zone. It carried over in the third."

Captain John Tavares scored the overtime winner for the Leafs. Berube had high praise for Tavares' performance.
