Both Guhle and Strome received fighting penalties. The game was tied 2-2 at the end of regulation. Patrick Laine and Kirby Dach had scored for Montreal, while Anaheim's goals came from Troy Terry, who netted two.
Kaiden Guhle drew inspiration from his parents
Kaiden Guhle reflected on the inspiration he drew from his parents while growing up and developing into an NHL player. Despite not having significant hockey backgrounds, Guhle's parents, Mark and Carrianne imparted valuable life lessons.
Guhle's father was never a major hockey fan, instead preferring sports like basketball, which he played in high school.
“He didn’t really know a whole lot about hockey, which I think kind of helped me in a way. He was never one of those dads that was super involved in the game. It was always just work hard and have fun,” Guhle said as per montrealgazette.com.
The general life wisdom imparted by his parents, like finding enjoyment in your work and pursing passions, has stuck with Guhle.
“They just wanted me to work hard, be a good teammate, be a good person and have fun. Kind of the motto I’ve gone by and the advice I’ve gone by my whole life and in my career. Work hard and have fun.”
Kaiden Guhle recognizes that his parents' hands-off approach allowed him to develop at his own pace while instilling values. Even without technical hockey expertise, Guhle’s parents contributed to his success by providing perspective on what matters most.
