WATCH: Matthew Tkachuk's sister Taryn enjoys a drink from Stanley Cup accompanied by their father Keith
Matthew Tkachuk and the Florida Panthers won their first Stanley Cup. Following the win, he was granted the traditional honor of spending a day with the Stanley Cup.
Matthew started his day with the trophy by taking it to lunch at Grassi’s Ristorante, a local Italian eatery in Missouri. After a delightful meal, he brought the Cup to his family's backyard. There, Matthew and his father, Keith Tkachuk, a former St. Louis Blues great, helped his sister Taryn enjoy a drink from the Stanley Cup.
Taryn Tkachuk, a junior field hockey star for the Virginia Cavaliers, shared the video in her Instagram story. It was later shared by B/R Open Ice on X. The video was captioned,
"Matthew Tkachuk had his day with the Cup on Wednesday. He and Keith were feeding Taryn some Stanley refreshments."
Taryn is a junior striker from St. Louis, Missouri. Playing for the Virginia Cavaliers, Taryn has earned multiple Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Her prowess in field hockey mirrors the exceptional skill her brothers, Matthew and Brady Tkachuk, display on the ice. Brady, a star defenseman for the Ottawa Senators, along with Matthew and his sister have inherited the affinity for sports from their father.
