Wayne Gretzky's daughter-in-law Sara attends Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Toronto

Taylor Swift wrapped up her six-night Eras Tour stop at Toronto’s Rogers Centre on Saturday with an emotional performance. NHL legend Wayne Gretzky’s son Ty’s wife Sara was among the thousands of fans in attendance at the fully sold-out arena.

The night featured special mashups, including acoustic renditions of “Sparks Fly” with “Message in a Bottle” and a piano mix of “You’re Losing Me” with “How Did It End.”

Last weekend, she surprised fans by performing “Us” with opener Gracie Abrams. During the show, she even addressed the crowd after a standing ovation for “Champagne Problems,” pausing to wipe away tears as she thanked her band, crew and fans for their support.

On Sunday, Sara Gretzky posted a carousel of pictures from her Eras Tour experience. In the caption, she wrote:

“Unhinged in Toronto 🫶🏼🧣🌨️🍸🎄🍁”

Her post featured snapshots of Toronto’s CN Tower and Rogers Centre lit in purple, a picture taken with a friend in Toronto, and different instances of Swift’s live performance at Rogers Centre. Sara also showed off her concert outfit in a mirror selfie, a picture of dining together in a restaurant with a group of friends, and shared a glimpse of a cozy-themed shopping display.

The Toronto shows were part of Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour, which began in March 2023. The final performances are set to take place in Vancouver on Dec. 6, 7 and 8.

Wayne Gretzky’s daughter-in-law Sara reflects on ‘sad’ aspect of motherhood

NHL legend Wayne Gretzky’s eldest son Ty Gretzky is happily married to Sara Marie Cusick. The couple now shares two daughters, Sicily, born in 2021, and Vienna, born in 2023.

Earlier last week, Sara shared a post on her Instagram story from the account “Caring Parent” about the bittersweet reality of watching children grow up.

“The sad part about motherhood is that you're raising the one person you can't live without… to be able to live without you,” the original post read.

While sharing it on her Instagram story, Sara wrote:

“Oh I wanna throw up”

Ty and Sara tied the knot on February 29, 2020, in a Gatsby-inspired wedding held at The Weylin, an 1875 building in Brooklyn, New York. Sara wore two custom Vera Wang dresses, while Ty donned a black velvet Ralph Lauren tuxedo. Guests enjoyed mini Gretzky Whisky bottles as party favors, as well as a Funfetti cake, and danced the night away under cowboy hats.
