"We Are The Champions! What a run it was. Came to Florida four years ago trying to become a full-time NHL player and now, I’m leaving a Stanley Cup Champion. Thank you to the Florida Panthers organization and all of South Florida that supported us.
"I will always be thankful for my time in south Florida and extremely grateful for all the life-long relationships I was able to form. Panthers Territory… WE DID IT!!!"

While excited to join Calgary again, he feels nostalgic leaving behind cherished memories and relationships from Panthers Territory.

Ryan Lomberg is living his NHL dream with family and a German Shepherd

On March 7, 2024, Ryan Lomberg shared some details about his personal life. He met his wife Marissa on Instagram after college.

They prioritize family despite his NHL career. The couple lives in Florida, raising kids and enjoying local adventures.

"Kind of always envisioned myself with a big family and playing in the NHL and with a German shepherd, so now that we're here, it's kind of surreal. I'm quite literally living my dream. So we're very, very thankful," Lomberg said (via cbsnews.com).

Lomberg shows his dedication to fatherhood by sharing pregame rituals with his son Roman. This helps maintain family time even during intense playoffs.

"Every single game day, they have a pregame meal together, so like they sit on this right here and they eat their pasta," Marissa Lomberg said.

Looking back on his journey, Ryan Lomberg feels fulfilled, having achieved his childhood dreams. Now, he enjoys a busy household with a cherished German shepherd.
