Samuel Hunter Bennett is a Canadian professional ice hockey center and as of 2024, is playing for the Florida Panthers in the National Hockey League (NHL). The Calgary Flames drafted Bennett with the fourth overall pick in the 2014 NHL Draft. He played two seasons with Kingston Frontenacs in the Ontario Hockey League, where he scored 54 goals and 131 points in 117 games.

Bennett became a regular for Calgary in the 2015-16 season, tallying 18 goals and 36 points. The highlight occurred on January 13, 2016, in a 6-0 victory against the Florida Panthers, when Bennett became the third-youngest player in NHL history to score four goals in a single game. On April 12, 2021, Bennett was traded to the Florida Panthers, along with a sixth-round pick in 2022. The Calgary Flames received draft rights to Emil Heineman and a second-round pick in 2022 in exchange. Later, on July 26, 2021, Bennett committed to the Florida Panthers by signing a four-year contract extension worth $17.6 million.
