"Baby I can't wait to see you": Simone Biles' husband Jonathan Owens shares sweet message for the gymnast amidst the Paris Olympics

Simone Biles recently received a heartfelt message from her husband, Jonathan Owens, as she continues her quest to win gold at the Paris Olympics. Biles recently qualified for the all-around gymnastics finals despite sustaining a calf injury during a training session.

Biles began her Paris Olympics campaign with a perfect balance beam routine in which she scored a 14.733. Moments after her performance, she was seen limping off the mat. However, the US gymnast is primed to compete in the finals and will be in gold medal contention.

She delivered exceptional performances in the vault, uneven bars, and floor exercise qualifiers, where she scored 15.800, 14.433, and 14.600, respectively.

Amidst her 2024 Summer Games run, Biles received a sweet message from her husband, Jonathan Owens, via Good Morning Football. They shared a video where Owens wished his wife the best of luck and announced his presence at the Paris Olympics by saying:

"Baby, I can't wait to see you. A couple more days and I'll be there. So congrats, and best of luck."

Simone Biles opens up about her injury struggles over the years

Simone Biles faced an injury scare while competing in the qualification rounds at the Paris Olympics. After her performance in the balance beam event, she was seen limping and was then attended to by medical staff.

She returned to the podium with her knee taped, causing concern among supporters. Her coach, Cecile Landi, revealed that the gymnast was facing a little discomfort because of a minor calf issue that she picked up while doing floor warm-ups a few weeks ago.

Biles recently opened up about her injuries in an interview with the Daily Mail, where she said that she was fortunate not to have sustained any major injuries.

"I was thinking about this, I've been quite fortunate with injuries but there's been some stuff," Biles said. "There's been a calf I have partially torn two or three times, I broke a rib in 2016, and oh yeah, it turned out my toe was shattered in five pieces after the last Olympics without me knowing."

Simone Biles is now heading to the finals of all the gymnastics events at the Paris Olympics, including the vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise, alongside her teammates Jade Carey, Suni Lee, and Jordan Chiles.
