"Forever inspired by your greatness sis"- Rapper G Eazy in awe of Simone Biles as he visits the 'Gold Over America Tour'
American rapper Gerald Earl Gillum, better known as G Eazy, recently attended one of Simone Biles' Gold Over America Tour shows. The rapper has been an ardent follower of the Olympic champion for a long time and couldn't help but express his admiration again.
Eazy uploaded an excerpt of Biles' performance on his Instagram stories and wrote:
"Forever inspired by your greatness sis! Big love. The Greatest of All Time, No Conversation."
Eazy posed with Biles in his next Instagram story, which was reposted by the latter on her Instagram profile. Eazy has been following the 27-year-old gymnast since 2016. He even mentioned her in one of his songs released in 2017, as a tribute to her achievements.
Initially launched as a girls-only event, the second season of the 'GOAT Tour' now includes male artistic gymnasts, as well as some from the rhythmic gymnastics team, who represented the USA at the Paris Olympics 2024.
Simone Biles on how she overcame the nerves before the Paris Olympics
Simone Biles etched her name in the golden pages of history books with her performance at the Paris Olympics. Having overcome several problems, including her mental health, the 27-year-old gymnast won three gold medals and a silver at the Summer Games to become the most decorated American female gymnast of all time.
However, the journey wasn't so easy. The American gymnast mentioned it in one of the promotional clips for the documentary 'Simone Biles Rising Part II,' saying:
"We're heading to Paris, we're stronger, we're smarter. But an Olympic year is stressful, there's a lot of emotions rather than just gymnastics, and you never know what's going to happen. You feel like you're going to throw up, cry, pee yourself, like just all the things. I've worked 27 years for this. Nothing sets your heart on fire like being so determined for a goal and you have only one chance."
In another interview with NESN, Biles mentioned the reason she is so invested in the 'Gold Over America Tour'.
"It's big that it puts gymnastics on a stage like we've never seen before it's gymnastics meets a concert but as you pointed out the fan interaction is so important as well yes 100% because they've supported us on our careers for so long," Simone Biles said. "So, it's such a blessing that we're able to put on a show like this to give back even if it's just a little bit of inspiration and waving to them and um just so that again they feel seen and heard." Simone Biles is currently leading the tour of US gymnasts for the second season of the 'Gold Over America Tour,' with 32 shows across 30 cities from September 16 to November 3. The team recently performed at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. They will next perform at the TD Garden Arena in Boston, Massachusetts, on October 6 and 7, respectively.
