"He is gonna get ran down in that 100m" - Twanisha Terry backs Noah Lyles in sprint challenge against Tyreek Hill

2024 Paris Olympics gold medalist Twanisha Terry has commented on the feud between reigning 100m Olympic champion Noah Lyles and Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill. This comes just a month after Hill claimed that he would defeat Lyles in a race.

Owing to this, the situation between the two has been a bit turvy-topsy over the past month with both of them taking frequent digs at each other in interviews and podcasts.

Twanisha Terry was recently asked to share her views on this entire situation in a recent conversation. Speaking on the OGs podcast with Udonis Hasleem and Mike Miller, Terry claimed that her fellow sprinter Noah Lyles would convincingly beat the 30-year-old NFL player over the 100m distance. Terry also mentioned that the 60m distance could be pretty close even with Lyles getting a bad start.

"He (Tyreek Hill) gonna get ran down in the 100m. I think in the 60m, it would be pretty close like Noah (Noah Lyles) has ran some great 60's even with terrible starts. So, I don't know then I think then Tyreek Hill [would] end up changing it to 40m or something like that," Terry said at 34:42.

As for the speed comparisons between Lyles and Hill presently, the 100m Olympic champion is ahead of Tyreek Hill. The Miami Dolphins wide receiver's best clocked run-time is 9.98 seconds over the 100m distance, which he registered during a college meet. Noah Lyles's 100m personal best is 9.79 seconds that he registered during the 2024 Paris quadrennial event.

Twanisha Terry also praised Sha'Carri Richadson for her impressive performance in the women's 4x100m relay at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

During the same podcast episode, Terry stated that Richardson's impressive run-time makes her one of the most potent candidates to take responsibility for the decisive fourth leg of a relay race. She said (at 31:52):

"For instance, Sha’Carri, we know she has excellent top-end speed. She’s going to hold down the fourth leg."

Both Twanisha Terry and Sha'Carri Richardson were part of the gold medal-winning US women's 4x100m relay team at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Terry ran the second leg, clocking an impressive 9.98 seconds. Richardson ran the anchor leg and registered an individual leg run-time of 10.09 seconds to take her team home in first place.
