"I didn't really want to dance ever"- Stephen Nedoroscik credits partner Rylee Arnold for helping him fight insecurities and opens up on DWTS
Olympic medalist Stephen Nedoroscik is having a great time on the dance reality show 'Dancing with the Stars.' He expressed gratitude towards his dancing partner Rylee Arnold who helped him fight his insecurities and gave a brilliant performance at the show.
In a recent podcast with Joe Vulpis, the 25-year-old gymnast opened up on his apprehensions, and how he overcame them on 'Dancing with the Stars'. When asked if Rylee Arnold helped him alleviate his dancing insecurities, Nedoroscik replied,
"'Um, like 100%, and I think like typically anyone who has an insecurity, they kind of just avoid a certain, you know subject or topic or whatever, like I didn't really want to dance ever, so I was just like you know what, I suck at this, I'm never gonna do it. And then I got a call for 'Dancing with the Stars', and I was like, this is too good of an opportunity to turn down..."
Nedoroscik recently went viral for his debut performance at the 33rd edition of the dance reality show, which helped him proceed toward the next round. He performed a paso doble on the 'Superman theme' with partner Rylee Arnold, which brought him immense appreciation from fans and critics alike.
Stephen Nedoroscik on his partner Rylee Arnold's contribution at 'Dancing with the Stars'
Stephen Nedoroscik has impressed everyone with his performance at 'Dancing with the Stars'. He recently performed a quickstep and a foxtrot with Rylee Arnold in the second week, which will be broadcast online soon.
The 25-year-old gymnast has been all praises for Arnold ever since he gained immense appreciation for his paso doble. In the podcast with Joe Vulpis, Nedoroscik mentioned,
".... I'm so lucky cause I got Rylee paired at me, and we have like very similar energy, so like immediately I was a little embarassed, cause I wan't picking up on the steps very fast, but like she saw how motivated I was, and like I was like if I'm doing this, I'm going all out...So like that's what I've been doing and I've been getting compliments from all around, and that alone just chips away those insecurities."
Interestingly, Rylee Arnold also appreciated the American gymnast's efforts. In an interview with Extra TV almost a week ago, she said,
"....I really like their feedback, and I thought it was very positive but also, like, very constructive, which is really good. They gave Stephen a lot of good pointers that we can definitely work on in rehearsal, so I was really happy with it. Honestly, just so glad that we’re making improvements with our scores and with our critiques.”
Nedoroscik has had a great season so far in 2024, with two historic Olympic medals to his credit. He contributed to the first Olympic medal for Team USA in the team all-around event since their bronze medal performance at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He also brought home an individual bronze in the pommel horse event, a first for any American since the Rio Olympics in 2016, when Alexander Naddour last won a medal in this event.
