American gymnast Joscelyn Roberson recently shared glimpses of her pre Christmas celebrations. The 18-year-old gymnast is currently preparing for the NCAA Championships, scheduled to be held in 2025 at Fort Worth, Texas.

Roberson, who represents the Arkansas Razorbacks, uploaded a couple of photographs with her teammates ahead of Christmas. She captioned the post as,

"Tis' the season🎄🎄"

The first few photographs showed Roberson posing with fellow gymnasts like Finley Myers, Kalyxta Gamiao, Julianna Grace etc. The next few photographs showed the preparations for the grand festivities ahead.

After her appearance at the Paris Olympics, the 18-year-old has put her elite gymnastics career on hold, and is focusing on her career as an NCAA gymnast. In a post on Instagram uploaded around July 2024, Roberson wrote,

"See you later elite gymnastics🤍 This journey has been a lot of things; a dream come true, fantastic, great, awful, hard, and everything in between but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I want to thank all my family and friends for supporting me throughout this journey, I know it hasn’t been easy. To my old coaches and teammates, thank you for your continued support and I will never forget what y’all sacrificed for me to be where I am today."

Joscelyn Roberson was one of the reserve gymnasts who had made the cut for the Paris Olympics. She had qualified along with Leanne Wong to represent the USA at Paris Olympics in case any one of the main five gymnasts were injured mid-way.

Joscelyn Roberson had managed to make it to the Paris Olympics by the virtue of her performance at the US Olympic trials, where she won the balance beam event. However, the journey was far from a cakewalk.

In an interview before the Paris Olympics, the 18-year-old gymnast recounted her injury from the 2023 World Championships, and how it nearly ruined her chances of making it to Paris.

"My ankle was still really hurt, it hurt bad still in February. It definitely was, ‘24’s not happening. You’re not going to get to the Olympic trials even’ because our team this year has so much depth. It was either you’re perfect or you’re not going to make it," she mentioned.

In another interview, Roberson explained how she felt like on being an alternate for the gymnastics squad at the Olympics.

"I feel like it's a hard spot to be in. I'm so excited about it, but I'm just staying focused and honestly pretending like I am going to compete at any moment because I really could," she further added.

Joscelyn Roberson will now be competing for the Arkansas Razorbacks at the NCAA Championships. The women's gymnastics championships will be held in early April at Fort Worth in Texas.
