The next two photographs saw Skenes and Dunne posing for the camera. In another photo, Dunne posed for the camera with Sophia Graves, who had also attended the game between LSU Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide. The final photograph showed the LSU gymnast conversing with the media about the game, which was won by the Alabama Crimson Tide with a score of 42-13. The LSU Tigers will now compete next with the Florida Gators on November 17.
Olivia Dunne on returning to LSU for her final year as an NCAA gymnast
In July 2024, Olivia Dunne took to Instagram to make a major announcement. She announced her return to the NCAA Championships for one final time as a fifth-year NCAA gymnast for the 2025 season. Dunne captioned the post as,
"not Dunne yet."
The 22-year-old gymnast had played an important role Lousiana State University team's victory at both the SEC Championships and the NCAA Championships held this year. In the video shared on Instagram, the American gymnast mentioned,
"Dear LSU, these past four years have changed my life. There is something about putting on a purple and gold leotard. There's something about competing in front of 13,000 screaming tiger fans."
"There's something about being pushed by your coaches to be your very best. And there's something about being part of a team that made school history. And no matter how many opportunities come my way off the mat, there's just something about LSU. And that's why I'm here to say, I'm not done yet," the gymnast added.
Olivia Dunne is clear on what she wants to do after graduating from Louisiana State University. The 22-year-old gymnast aims to contribute to the cause of female athletes in whichever way possible, for which she has also established 'The Livvy Fund', which will secure fellow student-athletes like her to secure lucrative NIL [Name, Image and Likeness] deals for a brighter future in sports.
