Jordan Chiles weighs in on her prospects of competing at Los Angeles Olympics 2028
Jordan Chiles has talked about her plans to participate in the 2028 Olympics scheduled to be held in Los Angeles. Moreover, the 2028 LA games have a special significance for her, as it would be his home country.
At the 2024 Olympics, the tables turned for Jordan Chiles as she lost the bronze medal due to a slight delay in filling the appeal. It was submitted one minute and three seconds after the scorecard flashed on the screen, resulting in an unsuccessful appeal.
Jordan Chiles made her debut in 2020 Tokyo, winning a silver medal for the team. In 2024, she bagged a gold medal with Team USA at the Women's Team Artistic Gymnastics event. The 23-year-old is known for vaulting and zestful floor routines.
Initially, Chiles won a bronze medal in the event, which was later revoked because of timing technicality. The unsuccessful attempt of inquiry to adjust the scores to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) placed Chiles in fifth place, presenting the bronze medal to Ana Barbosu, a Romanian gymnast.
Following the event at the 2024 Olympics, Chiles talked about it in a recent interview on 'Today'. The interviewer asked Jordan Chiles about her plans for the next Games in LA.
"Tell me about LA. Is that on your dance card?" (at 9:00)

"L.A. is you know, in and out of my mind. I think right now I'm just trying to take in what's happened from Paris and just take it day by day. I did come off an amazing tour, that helped me a lot mentally". (9:00 onwards)
Chiles also mentioned the support she receives from her best friend and everybody else.
"I'm just happy that I have really, support system that's around me, even coming from you and you know, Simone and everybody that's been around.
"It's been in my head, but I think right now I'm just taking day by day."
