Lindsey Vonn pens a heartfelt note for Jannik Sinner after incredible win against Novak Djokovic at the Shanghai Masters 2024
Following Jannik Sinner's impressive triumph over Novak Djokovic at the 2024 Shanghai Masters, Lindsey Vonn shared a heartfelt note expressing her admiration for the tennis star. Sinner acclaimed the title after earning a decisive lead over Djokovic with 7-6(4), 6-3.
The 13th edition of the Shanghai Masters was held from 2 to 13 October 2024 at the Qizhong Forest Sports City Arena in Shanghai, China. Sinner reached the final round after dominating Tomas Machac with 6-4, 7-5.
With the recent victory, Sinner became the first man since Andy Murray to win more than six titles in a season and also entered the exclusive six-member list, defeating Djokovic thrice in a row, including Andy Murray, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Andy Roddick, Roger Federer, and Rafael Nadal.
Following the victory, the Italian tennis player took to X to express his joy in securing the win.
"Forza!! Shanghai you have been amazingg," wrote Sinner. "Thank you to all of my team, both here and home. Let’s keep working!"
Showing her excitement and support for Sinner's victory, Vonn wrote,
"Yes Jan!!!"
Around Sinner's 2024 US Open victory, Vonn reflected on the skiing session she shared with him in February 2024, when the 23-year-old invited her to ski near his hometown.

Lindsey Vonn has had an incredible career with three Olympic medals. However, her journey has not been a smooth ride as she navigated with knee injuries multiple times.
Following her retirement and after much contemplation, the former alpine skier opted for knee replacement surgery in April 2024. She recently reflected on the surgery and recovery process, stating her pride:
"Every day is a victory," Vonn wrote. "Proud of how far I’ve come on this journey of life. I’ve had a lot of highs and a lot of lows but nothing has ever broken my spirit. I thank my Mother for that 😇🙏🏻 With this new knee that is now a part of me… I feel like a whole new chapter of my life is unfolding before my eyes. My adventurous spirit feels full of gratitude. To do the things you love to do is truly a blessing and I don’t take it for granted."
"I don’t know exactly what lies ahead but I know I’m healthy, happy and grateful ❤️🙌🏻," she added.
Lindsey Vonn suffered a severe knee injury during the 2013 World Championships in Schladming, Austria.
