Olivia Dunne shares a glimpse of her dinner date with boyfriend Paul Skenes after graduating from LSU as she gears up for NCAA season
LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne recently shared a glimpse of her dinner date with boyfriend and baseball player Paul Skenes ahead of her final NCAA season as a super senior. Dunne graduated from Louisiana State University a few days ago and will be participating for one last time for the LSU Tigers as a 'super senior' in 2025.
Dunne uploaded a pic with Skenes on her Instagram story. She also tagged Will Makris, who had accompanied the two, with the caption,
"@willmakris You rock"
Dunne aims to give another NCAA title to the LSU Tigers before moving on to something else. In an interview with the Sports Illustrated, the gymnast explained,
“This past year I found a renewed love of the sport. I had trained a lot in the offseason, so I felt really strong and healthy from the start and ready to contribute.”
Olivia Dunne may not have made a big name for herself on the international stage, but she has made up for it with her performance at the NCAA Championships. The gymnast cum content creator played a major role in the victory of the LSU Tigers at both the SEC Championships and the NCAA Championships held this year.
Olivia Dunne on her boyfriend Paul Skenes' support
Olivia Dunne has been dating MLB player Paul Skenes for a long time. She cheered for him when he made his debut with the Pittsburgh Pirates in the current season.
In an interview with PEOPLE magazine held in October 2024, Dunne recounted the support provided by Skenes, and how it has changed her for the better. In her words:
"I think that we play off of one another and make each other better. Paul definitely holds me accountable, which I really appreciate. Sometimes it's hard to find it within yourself to do things."
The LSU gymnast further added,
"I feel like his work ethic is something I've never seen before. It's very cool to hear his advice for me, and I feel like that made me a better athlete last year."
Interestingly, Skenes had also graduated from the Louisiana State University and was one of the key performers for the LSU Tigers, before he made his switch to the professional league.
Olivia Dunne has established 'The Livvy Fund', which is a philanthropic organization that will help fellow athletes like her in securing the right NIL deals for a better future in sports. She is also preparing for her final season at the NCAA Championships in 2025.
