Riley Gaines reacts to Jason Kelce slamming a fan's phone after his brother was subjected to insults for dating Taylor Swift
Riley Gaines has come out in support of former NFL legend Jason Kelce. The 24-year-old social activist reacted to Kelce slamming the phone of a fan after the latter disrespected his brother Travis Kelce for dating Taylor Swift.
Kelce, who formerly represented the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL, recently visited Penn State University for a kicking challenge against the local student Erik Harken, promoted by ESPN College Football. He was heckled by a local fan over his brother dating Taylor Swift, to which Kelce responded by smashing the fan's phone to the ground.
Gaines took to her X handle to express her thoughts on this incident.
"I'm on Kelce's side with this one. FAFO"
The video posted online captured the former NFL star's reaction when an individual made remarks about Travis Kelce's relationship with the pop singer.
"Hey Kelce, how does it feel that your brother is a f***** dating Taylor Swift?"
To which Kelce responded by slamming the fan's phone and saying,
"Who's the f***** now?"
Travis Kelce has been dating Taylor Swift since 2023. Her presence at the NFL games in the 2023 season led to a wider interest in both the league and the Kansas City Chiefs team, for whom Kelce plays as the tight end.
Riley Gaines reacts to Harvard University introducing a course on Taylor Swift
In November 2023, Harvard University decided to launch a new course exclusively on Taylor Swift. Titled 'Taylor Swift and the World', the course explains the cultural impact of the pop star and her similarity with literary greats from the 19th century.
Riley Gaines shared her thoughts about the course introduced by Harvard University, on her X handle (formerly Twitter) and tweeted a sarcastic remark:
"Ah, institutions of "higher education"
The 24-year-old has also criticized the 14-time Grammy Award winner for supporting the current Vice president of the USA, Kamal, who is campaigning for the post of President in the current Presidential elections.
Riley Gaines has expressed her disapproval of the abolishment of Title IX, which aims to provide additional security to the LGBTQ community. According to the former NCAA swimmer, the abolishment of Title IX will have an overall negative impact on women's sports. She has also started a campaign against the imposition of the amendments proposed by the current US administration.
