"Securing the bag!" - Fans react to Letsile Tebogo hinting at money as motivation to continue winning after the Paris Olympics

Fans were abuzz after Letsile Tebogo hinted at money as the primary motivator for his continued victories after the 2024 Paris Olympics glory. Following his feats in the French capital, the sprinter has dominated all the events he has competed in at the Diamond League series.

Tebogo secured a gold and a silver medal at the Paris Games. At the recent Diamond League meet in Zurich, he dominated the men's 200m event with a stunning time of 19.55 seconds, surpassing the American trio of Kenny Bednarek, Erriyon Knighton, and Fred Kerley, who posted 19.57, 19.79, and 19.81 seconds, respectively.

In a recent post-race interview, when asked about the motivation behind his consistent victories and improvement, the sprinter playfully made a hand gesture, indicating money.

Fans enthusiastically reacted to Tebogo's revelation, as one of them wrote:

Another fan adored the Olympic gold medalist for his honesty and wrote:

Letsile Tebogo secured a gold medal in the 200m at the 2024 Paris Olympics after clocking an impressive time of 19.46 seconds to defeat the American duo of Kenny Bednarek and Noah Lyles, who posted 19.62 and 19.70 seconds, respectively.

Following this victory, he dominated the same event at the Lausanne Diamond League with 19.64 seconds. The 21-year-old defeated Erriyon Knighton and Fred Kerley, clocking 19.78 and 19.86 seconds, respectively.

At the Silesia Diamond League, held on August 25, 2024, he topped the event with 19.83 seconds, surpassing Ogando Alexander's 19.86 and Bednarek's 20.00 seconds. At the Rome edition, held on August 31, 2024, Tebogo earned the top place in the 100m dash, recording a striking 9.87 seconds.

The Botswana sprinter is poised to compete in the Brussels Diamond League, slated for September 13 and 14, 2024.
