Stockholm Diamond League 2025 Results: Mondo Duplantis breaks world record at home, Tara Davis-Woodhall clears 7m for long jump win
The 2025 Stockholm Diamond League saw incredible performances from Olympic champions at the BAUHAUS-galan on June 15, Sunday. The biggest highlight of the day was none other than Mondo Duplantis soaring to a new world record on home soil.
Duplantis cleared the 6.28m bar to shatter the pole vault global record for the 12th time. What was even impressive was he accomplished it on his first attempt, suggesting there's still more to come from the Swedish-American pole vaulter.
Apart from Duplantis, another athlete who displayed a remarkable show was Julien Alfred. The Saint Lucian star clocked a sensational 10.75s, placing herself second in the list of world's fastest women this season in the women's 100m. At the Stockholm Diamond League, she finished ahead of Dina Asher-Smith (10.93s) and Marie-Josée Ta Lou-Smith (11.00s).
Meanwhile, in the 400m hurdles, three-time Olympic gold medalist Rai Benjamin claimed victory with a 46.54s run, finishing ahead of top rivals Alison dos Santos and Karsten Warholm, who secured second and third place with times of 46.68s and 47.41s, respectively.
Tara Davis-Woodhall cleared the 7.00m mark to win the women's long jump with a season-best 7.05m. This was the Olympic champion's second-event of the season, having opened her campaign at the Drake Relays with 6.75m clearance.
