"There was a holiness that radiated within you" - When Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone's husband opened up about seeing the Olympic medalist for first time
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone recently spent a vacation with husband Andre Levrone after winning two gold medals at the Paris Olympics. The Olympic champion had mentioned about it in an interview before the Brussels Diamond League, where she took part in the 200m and 400m invitational.
The love story of Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and former NFL player Andre Levrone is also well documented. In November 2021, when Levrone uploaded the video of his proposal to the Olympic champion, he wrote in the Instagram post:
"You were the first woman that I ever said 'I love you to'..... and what a privilege it has been to love you this past year. My heart grows fonder of you every day and I can't wait to marry you in six months!"
Andre Levrone recounted how he felt when he saw Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone for the first time. He said in the video:
"Love is a choice, it's a decision, and I made that decision months ago with you. The moment I saw you the first time, when I first laid eyes on you, I knew that there was something different about you. There was a purity, there was a holiness that radiated from within, and I caught it with my heart."
Andre Levrone and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone announced their engagement in August 2021. The two got married at Early Mountain Vineyards in Madison, Virginia on May 5, 2022.

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is deeply inspired by her husband Andre Levrone. On several occasions, the Olympic champion has opened up, especially after the Paris Olympics, on how her husband pushes her to do her best.
McLaughlin-Levrone said in an interview promoted by Track Spice in August:
"What inspires me most about Andre is how much he pushes me to be the best that I can be. Not a lot of people truly see the purity in everybody, but he does."
"In our relationship, there is never judgment. It is truly just love and concern and being able to have open honest dialogue where you can get things out there," the world record holder added.
After dating for a while, the two formally announced their relationship in December 2020. Andre Levrone even posted a picture with McLaughlin-Levrone on his Instagram, captioned:
"Heaven sent!"
McLaughlin-Levrone won two gold medals at the Paris Olympics 2024. She broke her own world record set at the US Olympic Trials to win the Olympic gold in women's 400m hurdles with a time of 50.37 seconds.
McLaughlin-Levrone then ran the second leg in the final of the women's 4x400 m relay at the Paris Olympics. Even though the USA missed the world record by just 0.1 second, their timing of 3:15.27 seconds was more than enough to win an eighth consecutive Olympic gold medal in the event.
