"Too many memories and too many inside jokes" - Shaun White's girlfriend Nina Dobrev pens sweet note on Olympic champion's 38th birthday

Olympic snowboarder Shaun White’s girlfriend and Canadian actress Nina Dobrev recently penned a sweet note for the former athlete on his 38th birthday, on September 3. The couple has been dating for nearly five years since 2020 and is frequently spotted attending public events together.

Shaun White, one of the best known snowboarders in the world, boasts three gold medals in the half-pipe event in 2006, 2010, and 2018, and five Olympic appearances. He also has the highest number of X Games wins and Olympic gold medals as a snowboarder. After a 15-year long athletic career, White decided to call time on his snowboarding career after the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

Since then, Shaun White has been exploring business endeavors and also spending time with his family and long-time girlfriend Nina Dobrev.

Recently, the former snowboarder received an adorable note from Dobrev on the occasion of his birthday. The Canadian actress shared many lovely pictures of the two on Instagram, explaining the process of selecting the frames. The former ‘The Vampire Diaries’ actress wrote:

"It’s so hard to go through years of photos and narrow down the ones to post for your birthday. There are too many photos, too many adventures, too much laughter, too many cute moments, too many trips, too many inside jokes, too many memories and of course way too many photos that are too inappropriate to post. I love to too much birthday boy 🤍 @shaunwhite"

The couple first met in 2019 at a motivational seminar in Florida by author and speaker Tony Robbins. They made their relationship publicly official in April 2020.

Shaun White and Nina Dobrev attended the Paris Olympics together. The couple made its first appearance at the opening ceremony on July 26. In fact, the former snowboarder revealed that his girlfriend had “never been to the Olympics,” so he was accompanying her to help her get a better understanding of the events.

White told the Olympics.com:

“My girlfriend Nina has never been to the Olympics, so seeing everything through her eyes and experiences has been so much fun.”

The couple also shared snaps from their time in the French capital. In one of the videos shared by Nina, the former athlete was seen manouvering the actress’s wheelchair on the streets of Paris.

Apparently, Nina Dobrev was recovering from a knee injury.
