Triple Olympic gold medalist Gabby Thomas recently attended a WNBA playoff held at the Barclays Center between the New York Liberty and the Atlanta Dream. She was greeted by a loud cheer from the crowd when the organizers announced her presence at the playoff.
The Barclays Center showed a recap of Thomas' performances at the Paris Olympics, particularly the women's 200m, where she surprised everyone by winning the gold medal.

Gabby Thomas uploaded a couple of Instagram stories related to the playoff, which was eventually won by New York Liberty by a score of 91-82.
Gabby Thomas had previously attended the WNBA playoffs as well. She had watched the match between Indiana Fever and Connecticut Sun alongside Simone Biles. Their presence surprised even star player Caitlin Clark, who represents Indiana Fever. The Indiana Fever team emerged victorious, winning the game by an 84-81 margin.
Thomas is preparing for the Athlos Meet, a women's only track and field event organized by Alexis Ohanian, the husband of tennis legend and former Olympic champion Serena Williams. The event will commence at Icahn Stadium in New York City on Thursday, September 26.

After creating history at the Paris Olympics with three gold medals, Gabrielle 'Gabby' Thomas is looking forward to Alexis Ohanion's Athlos Meet. This will be her final track event for this year.
The 27-year-old recently wrote about the upcoming meet in one of her Instagram stories.
"Time to dust off the spikes, it's race week,” she wrote.
Thomas had also expressed her enthusiasm for this exclusive meet previously. She had spoken in an interview [via Athlos on X]:
"Athlos definitely feels like an event where finally we, as female athletes, have some ownership, We have some say. We have a big part in its creation. I'm excited.”
Thomas is not the only major athlete taking part in the Athlos meet. Olympic champions like Faith Kipyegon and Alexis Holmes are also participating in the prestigious event, which will initially have only six events, viz. 100m, 100m hurdles, 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1500m. The winner of each event takes home the prize money of $60000, while the runner up takes home $25000 and the second runner-up takes home $15000.
Thomas took part in the women's 200m, the women's 4x100m relay, as well as the women's 4x400m relay. Against all expectations, the 27-year-old athlete won all the events, adding to the silver and bronze medals she won at the Tokyo Olympics in women's 4x100m relay and women's 200m, respectively.
