As Simone Biles gets down to business in the gymnastics team finals at the Paris Olympics, she has a stadium full of fans cheering for her, including husband Jonathan Owens. The NFL star has flown out to the City of Lights to watch his wife perform, and audiences in the Bercy Arena spotted him making detailed notes on the gymnast's performance.

As Biles began her Olympic year, Owens has been present at every single meet she has competed in, including the Core Hydration Classic, the Xfinity US Gymnastics Championships, and the U.S Olympic Trials.

During the US Championships, the Chicago Bear safety was spotted making notes as his wife performed, and many were curious as to what he was jotting down. Biles later revealed that Owens had been busy keeping track of the score, a habit her husband picked up from her parents, telling Gymnastics Now:

“Whenever he learns about something, he wants to really dive in. He’s kind of a nerd in that aspect, in the best way, so if he's going to learn about gymnastics, he's going to learn about it. So that's what he was doing — keeping score of everybody and adding it up and stuff like that.”

Now, Jonathan Owens is back to keeping track of Simone Biles' score, this time as she performs at the Paris Olympics gymnastics team finals. A video of the NFL player taking notes in the stadium was shared by a fan:

Jonathan Owens shares snap from inside Bercy Arena as he cheers for Simone Biles at the Paris Olympics

For Jonathan Owens, his trip to Paris marks the first time he's been able to watch Simone Biles in action in an international event, and he's making the most of the opportunity.

The Chicago Bears safety was in the Bercy Arena well before his wife was due to compete, even sharing a snap on his Instagram stories, writing:

“Almost go time.”

While Owens and Biles have been together since early 2020, he's never been able to make it to an international event to cheer for the gymnast. This time around, the footballer had been a constant presence in the stands whenever his wife competes, often sharing behind-the-scenes snaps from the competition.

Jonathan Owens is technically supposed to be at a training camp with the Bears at the minute, but has been allowed a few days of leave to watch Biles perform, and he certainly seems to be making the most of the opportunity.
