The Gold Over America Tour launched by Simone Biles, which started on 16 September 2024, is currently underway and will continue till 3 November. A video of the gymnasts, including Biles, Jordan Chiles, Paul Juda, and others, has been released, which showcases the talents of all the gymnasts who competed at the Paris Olympics.
This tour, which is like a pop-show kind for gymnasts to show their skills and talents, was launched by Biles in 2021, after the Tokyo Olympics. It was initially launched for only women gymnasts to showcase their talent and celebrate themselves after the Olympics. However, the second edition of the G.O.A.T is a celebration for both men and women gymnasts who participated in the Paris Olympics.
The Gold Over America Tour shared a video of the last few days of the event on Instagram. It carried glimpses of performances at the tour from various Olympic gymnasts such as Biles, Chiles, Jade Carey, Paul Juda, Brody Malone, Hezly Rivera, Frederick Richard, and more. The post's caption carried:
"⭐️ One week in and the energy is unreal! Thank you for showing up and bringing the love! 💛 Can’t wait to keep this golden journey going!"
The choreography of the tour this year has been executed by the UCLA gymnastics coach, Valorie Kondos Field.
Simone Biles opened up about the second edition of the Gold Over America Tour
In a recent interview with Olympics.com, Simone Biles exuded excitement about launching the second edition of the Gold Over America Tour after the conclusion of the Paris Olympics. She said that she was "honored" to have the gymnasts on this tour and added that this is more about building confidence in the gymnasts.
"I’m so honored and excited to welcome these incredible and courageous athletes to the tour for an amazing and unforgettable journey," said Biles.
She added:
"This tour is not only about amazing performances, but connecting with communities and building up the confidence of the next generation of athletes. We… can’t wait to take a victory lap around the U.S. and celebrate with all the fans this fall".
Simone Biles, who won four Olympic medals in Paris and became the most decorated US Olympic gymnast of all time, will next be seen performing at the Gold Over America Tour on 25 September which will be held in Denver. Following this, the next stop for the event will be on 27 September in Minneapolis.
