WATCH: Stephen Nedoroscik and partner Rylee Arnold put on mesmerizing Halloween-themed performance on Dancing With the Stars
Stephen Nedoroscik has made it to the top six of the 33rd season of 'Dancing with the Stars'. The 26-year-old double Olympic medalist performed a brilliant contemporary dance with dance partner Rylee Arnold during the "Halloween Nigtmares Night" episode of the show this week.
Nedoroscik and Arnold performed a contemporary dance on the song "I Ran [So Far Away]" by the band Hidden Citizens. The outstanding performance earned Nedoroscik his first 10 for the season. The other judges gave a 9 each, making the total score an outstanding 28 out of 30.

The official Instagram page of "Dancing with the Stars" shared some photographs of the duo's performance on Instagram, with the caption,
"Even in darkness, we never wanna run away from Stephen and Rylee’s hauntingly beautiful Contemporary! 🤩☠️ #HalloweenNightmares #DWTS"
Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold then competed with the duo of Jenn Tran and Sasha Farber. The dancing duos did a salsa on the song "Jump in the Line" by Harry Belafonte. Tran and Farber won the dance-off, but this didn't affect Nedoroscik and Arnold in any way, since their score and the audience vote ensured their entry into the top six.
Stephen Nedoroscik on joining 'Dancing with the Stars'
From winning two Olympic medals at the Paris Olympics for the USA to entering the top six in the 33rd season of "Dancing with the Stars," gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik has excelled on multiple fronts. 2024
However, Nedoroscik was apprehensive about joining the show, when he received the offer midway during the Paris Olympics. In a podcast with Joe Vulpis, released on October 6, Nedoroscik opened up on the moment he received the offer for "Dancing with the Stars." He said,
"Yeah, so I got the call like while I was still at the Olympics actually, like before I was even done. Like I still had an event final [probably pommel horse finals], um, and I was juggling around, cuz I didn't have an agency, I didn't have anyone representing me, so like, I was like, you know I had like this four day span from the Team final to like my individual final, where it wasn't just me focusing on gymnastics." Nedoroscik added that he was hesitant about his dancing skills at first. He said,
"I think like typically anyone who has an insecurity, they kind of just avoid a certain, you know subject or topic or whatever, like I didn't really want to dance ever, so I was just like you know what, I suck at this, I'm never gonna do it. And then I got a call for 'Dancing with the Stars', and I was like, this is too good of an opportunity to turn down."
Interestingly, Stephen Nedoroscik was amongst the male gymnasts who were set to join the Simone Biles-led "Gold over America Tour" for its second season. However, he decided to go ahead with the offer from "Dancing with the Stars" and today he is one of the prime contenders for the coveted trophy.
