Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone's 2024 track and field season saw the US hurdler remain unbeaten in all the individual events she competed in. The four-time Olympics gold medalist not only dominated her specialization 400m hurdles event but also has produced impressive performances in other events such as the 200m dash and 400m dash.
The 25-year-old even registered a personal best over the 200m distance at the USATF Los Angeles Grand Prix concluded in May. Even though McLaughlin-Levrone didn't participate in any of the main Diamond League events this season, her performances in the other USATF and global events were top-notch.

One of the most impressive moments of McLaughlin-Levrone in this 2024 track season came during the 2024 US Olympic Track and Field Trials. Competing for a place in the US Olympic team, McLaughlin-Levrone set the records tumbling as she broke the world record in the event after clocking a run time of 50.65 seconds.

#2. Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone's Olympic gold medal in Paris
The most cherished moment of McLaughlin-Levrone this season came at the 2024 Paris quadrennial event when she successfully defended her Women's 400m Hurdles title defeating the likes of her arch-rival Femke Bol and United States counterpart Anna Cockrell.
Apart from winning the title in Paris, McLaughlin-Levrone also set a new world record in the event by clocking a run time of 50.37 seconds during the event finals of the Olympics thereby breaking the world record she set just a month ago at the US Olympics Trials (50.65).
#1. Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone's 4x400m relay gold medal in Paris Olympics
McLaughlin-Levrone clinched her second Olympic gold medal as a part of the United States Women's 4x400m relay team. During the event finals, McLaughlin-Levrone ran the second leg of the relay and clocked an impressive run time of 47.71 seconds, the lowest out of the quartet (Shamier Little, McLaughlin-Levrone. Gabby Thomas, and Alexis Holmes).
The US quartet clocked a combined run time of 3:15.27 in the finals, registering a new American record in the 4x400m relay event. This was McLaughlin-Levrone's second relay gold medal at the Olympics (the first one came in Tokyo three years ago in the same 4x400m relay event).
