Why did Aesha Scott leave Below Deck Mediterranean season 9? Teaser and shocking revelation explored
The preview for Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 episode 5 showed Aesha Scott discussing her injury with Captain Sandy Yawn. The preview of the episode, which was released on Monday, July 1, 2024, saw Aesha approaching the captain, stating that she might have to leave the boat due to her injury. She added, that in her experience, it seems to be an infection.
Previously, Aesha had sliced her fingertip on a shattered martini glass. Aesha Scott also shared that she felt like there was possibly some glass still in the wound.
Explaining to her boss, Aesha said,
"In my experience, when it forms a line like that, it's usually a sign of infection. And it feels like there's still some glass in there."
Below Deck Down Under also featured fan-favorite Aesha Scott. She shook up Season 9 of Below Deck Med by becoming Captain Sandy Yawn's right-hand alongside Elena Dubaich. Aesha's new job presented new obstacles, such as scolding the stews for their misbehavior and ensuring everyone was on their best behavior when one of Sandy's A-list guests arrived.
Below Deck Mediterranean's Aesha Scott's return to the shore for treatment
The Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9 crew was at last beginning to look like a team that was not lost at sea and Captain Sandy had begun to feel that the interior team would be fine without any question, and move ahead.
While Sandy wanted to look out for her friend, she recognized that Aesha Scott's absence — and potential exit — would have a significant impact on not only her but the entire crew. She stated that her Chief Stew's departure would be "catastrophic" to the staff, particularly after her unpleasant experience working with the ship's cook, Jonathan "Jono" Shillingford.
Scott's professionalism is one of the many reasons why Captain Sandy values her. Worried about Aesha's absence, she said,
"The deck team is still finding their feet. We haven't had the greatest last charter with the chef. I don't need my interior to fall apart."
Before leaving for treatment, Aesha Scott gave her stewardesses, Elena Dubaich and Bri Muller, some crucial instructions. In a confessional, Aesha acknowledged being concerned about not being present for the upcoming round of guests.
Talking about the probable duration of her treatment, Aesha Scott said,
"There's not much time to go to a Greek hospital, get it looked at, and get back to the boat."
However, Aesha Scott returned from the hospital in time for the new visitors' arrival, which delighted her fans.
The Below Deck crew is accustomed to unexpected twists and turns when at sea, and their adventures give the fans plenty reason to keep coming back.
