Amazon Prime's The Edge of Sleep is a fantasy thriller starring Mark Fischbach as Dave, a night watchman at a museum. After his shift, Dave discovers one day that he's the only living person left, as all other humans have mysteriously died.

The Edge of Sleep has the following official synopsis, according to IMDB:

“When a night watchman finishes his shift, he's terrified to discover that everyone in the world who fell asleep the night before is dead.”

Season 1 of The Edge of Sleep aired in October 2019. Season 2 began on October 17, 2024, with episode 4 premiering on October 20. Season 2 will have 11 episodes, three more than the first season's 8 episodes.

1) Mark Fischbach as Dave

A successful Twitch streamer/gamer, Mark Fischbach is better known to his fans as Markiplier. Markiplier has worked on various TV series as a writer, director, and actor. Notably, he was the screenwriter for Unus Annus and the In Space series.

The actor has worked in the Thomas Sander series and has produced a remarkably emotional performance in The Edge of Tomorrow. Markiplier’s role as Dave is arguably his biggest yet, in the industry.

2) Cara Santana as Linda

Cara Santana is part of The Edge of Sleep as Linda, one of the few survivors in the series. The Texas-born actor is an industry veteran, having worked in a range of popular shows and movies. She was recently seen in The Neighbourhood, and has also worked in series such as Vida and The Real Bros of Simi Valley.

The actress plays an important role in The Edge of Sleep and is one of Dave’s allies who help him uncover the mystery behind the mass deaths in the series. Santana has also acted in movies such as Smartass and Reunion.

3) Alexandra Essoe as Katie

Alexandra Essoe, another industry veteran in her own right, plays the role of Katie in The Edge of Sleep. The character emerges as another ally for Dave, and becomes part of the team intent on uncovering the mystery in The Edge of Sleep.

Essoe has previously been seen in series such as The Fall of the House of Usher, The Midnight Club, and Midnight Mass. Essoe was most recently seen in Fall Risk.
