On October 4, 2024, KSI officially released the music video for the single "Thick Of It," featuring Trippie Redd. While the reception was positive, some netizens expressed their displeasure. On October 5, 2024, the Briton responded to "stupid fans" calling his music "trash" by tweeting:

As the backlash for his song grew, the Sidemen member claimed on X on October 7, 2024, that it was "trendy to hate" him:
"Imagine spending so much time and effort into making a song for people to then repeatedly take the p*ss out of it online. I get it's trendy to hate me rn (right now), but can we, like, move on?"
MrBeast eventually teamed up with prominent internet personalities for a special livestream to celebrate Halloween 2024.
