IShowSpeed's cameraman gets into a heated argument with a man in Denmark after ending stream
Popular YouTuber Darren aka IShowSpeed has been traveling across Europe, accompanied by his videographer and friend Slipz. The duo has been meeting fans across the continent, sharing both good and bad experiences. In a recent stream in Denmark, IShowSpeeds' cameraman, also known as Samuel I, was embroiled in an argument.
In a short clip doing the rounds online, the videographer can be seen shouting at someone while walking in a garden. While most of the conversation is muffled, Slipz can be heard saying:
“Why doesn’t your wife go back to France?”
In reply, the man says:
“I don’t wanna be f*cking racist.”
The two continue arguing, but the rest of the audio is muffled.
After the clip surfaced, many fans of IShowSpeed expressed shock at the conversation, with some implying that Slipz was racist.
IShowSpeed's friend Slipz has come forward with an explanation
Around an hour after the clip was posted, Samuel came forward to provide clarification. The videographer revealed that the man in question had initially asked IShowSpeed to “go back to his country” during his livestream.
While the comment was called out by both Slipz and Speed, the man allegedly confronted the former while on his way back. Slipz reportedly passed the offensive comment in response to more comments made by the stranger.
In a tweet, Slipz said:
“To fully clarify, the guy said on stream to Speed to go back to his country, which I also called out live. After the stream ended and I was walking back, he said some more things to me so I told him to f*ck off, and if he should go back to his country then tell his wife to go back to Spain and for him to go back to the Netherlands, where he told us they were both from on the live.”
IShowSpeed’s friend then went on to say:
“The guy made a racist comment to Speed, and I paraphrased what he said back to him because he made an unnecessary comment towards Speed and continued towards me after the stream ended.”
Slipz and IShowSpeed share a close friendship, and he has been working for the streamer for over two years. Thus, his coming forward to defend his friend and employer has been seen as a commendable move by Speed's fans. Some even took back their allegations against Slipz and called it a “W” instead.
Meanwhile, Speed and his friend are currently in the final leg of their Europe trip. They have covered several countries, including Germany, Hungary, Slovenia, Spain, Portugal, Norway, and Poland.
