Jake Paul bets $25K and challenges YouTube streamer IShowSpeed in a 40-yard dash
A clip of Jake Paul challenging YouTube streamer IShowSpeed to a race has gone viral on social media. The video is from the latest episode of BS w/ Jake Paul where the content creator-turned-boxer bet Gary Vaynerchuk $25K that he would win the race.
Known for his athleticism, IShowSpeed is quite fast and has raced celebrities before. Recently, the streamer beat popular rapper Travis Scott in an impromptu sprint after meeting him at the NYC Fanatics Fest. Jake, however, seemed quite confident that would be able to beat the streamer and on his podcast stated that he would win in a 40-yard dash:
"I wanna race Speed. In a 40-yard dash, I beat Speed."
"This is the callout": Jake Paul issues racing challenge to IShowSpeed
After Jake Paul claimed he would beat IShowSpeed in a race, Gary Vaynerchuk, who was sitting across from him on the podcast, vehemently rejected the idea. Furthermore, Vaynerchuk bet real money against the boxer, stating:
"No way. I'll bet real money. I'll bet you."
Jake Paul accepted the bet and stated:
"Let's do it. Speed, this is the callout. How much do you want to bet? (To Gary Vaynerchuk)"
Vaynerchuk asked him about the number and the younger Paul brother claimed he would be willing to bet $25K that he would beat Speed in a race, and the two shook on it.
Jake Paul's business partner Joey Levy also weighed in, wagering 500 pushups in installments of 50, and seemed confident that he would win the bet:
"I am going to take the bet as well. Here's what we do, 500 pushups. I can make you do 50, you can make do 50 any time. Wherever it is, you could be literally getting ready to go to your fight. Someone get Speed on the phone, this is light work."
Gary Vaynerchuk had more to add and claimed Jake Paul would get smoked if he races Speed:
"I always have your back for the last 15 years. You are going to get smoked."
While Jake Paul may have claimed IShowSpeed is not that fast on the podcast, the YouTube streamer has shown himself to be quite a capable runner. He even beat a few professional footballers when he was streaming from Norway last month.
