"JJ thought it was the best idea" - Video of Vikkstar123 revealing details about KSI pushing for Sidemen NFT project goes viral
A video of YouTuber Vikram "Vikkstar123" revealing details about Olajide "JJ," better known as "KSI," pushing for a Sidemen-themed NFT (non-fungible token) project has gone viral. A one-minute-29-second clip from The Fellas podcast was posted on the r/YouTubeDrama subreddit, in which Vikkstar123 disclosed that the YouTube collective was approached with the idea of launching NFTs during KSI's "crypto era".
Providing details about the project, the content creator said:
"Oh, my goodness. This was KSI in his crypto era. We got this big, shiny presentation for the Sidemen NFTs one of 10,000. And NFT projects, especially back then, were like - launch an NFT project, make $20 million that day. What happens afterwards, 'Everyone should make money, but if they don't, who cares? You made $20 mil.'"
According to Vikkstar123, JJ thought the Sidemen NFT was the "best idea". However, the former "wanted to kill" the concept and did not want to proceed with the project:
"And we had this big, big, like, deck. And, like, JJ thought it was the best idea. And then, the other guys were unsure. And I was like, 'I will not let this happen.' So I had to do a detailed breakdown of every reason why I thought it was a bad idea. I was like, 'I want to kill this dead now because I do not want there to be a Sidemen NFT.'"
Vikkstar123 also stated that he did not want to make "millions of dollars" at the "direct expense" of fans because it could lead to Sidemen's other businesses "losing credibility":
"I do not ever want to make millions of dollars at the direct expense of fans getting nothing for it. Useless token online. Also, with the way we've got a bunch of businesses, like, if you effectively scam people, or like, f**k them over with one business, everything else loses credibility."
KSI responds to the backlash surrounding his new business venture with MrBeast and Logan Paul, Lunchly
On September 18, 2024, KSI took to X to respond to the backlash over Lunchly, a new food and beverage venture he launched with Jimmy "MrBeast" and Logan Paul. The professional boxer directly responded to YouTuber Daniel "DanDTM's" criticisms by mocking the latter's Youtooz and Tube Heroes toy line.
He also posted the following on X:
"'B-B-B-But he was talking about food JJ.' He was sponsored, then promoted and made a whole video on MunchPak (a monthly sub box full of food and candy) to his Minecraft audience full of kids. Now what?"
However, KSI's response was not well received, with some netizens remarking that "people like DanTDM more" than him.
