"Long-term headache" - Coffeezilla updates the community about the lawsuit Logan Paul filed against him
YouTuber Stephen "Coffeezilla" has shared an update on the lawsuit Logan Paul filed against him. For those unaware, on August 6, 2024, Coffeezilla revealed Logan Paul was suing him on grounds of defamation. In a video posted on his primary YouTube channel, the internet investigator accused Paul of "silencing" him because he uploaded two videos and one tweet advocating refunds for victims of the CryptoZoo project.
On August 19, 2024, Coffeezilla took to his alternate channel, voidzilla, to express his gratitude to his community for supporting him by buying his merchandise. Claiming that the past month had been "unbelievably stressful," the YouTuber referred to his legal battle with Logan Paul as a "long-term headache":
"I think we're going to be fine. The outpouring of support has been unbelievable! And that's where I guess, I want to start, is just, I want to give a heartfelt thank you. This past month has been unbelievably stressful on myself and my family, and... you guys made it much less stressful. Now, it's just kind of this thing that we're in. We're still stuck in this lawsuit, which sucks. But, it's more about the... it's more like a long-term headache than it is, like, a critical problem for us anymore."
Coffeezilla then described a conversation with his wife, who stated that people were supporting him because they "hated" Logan Paul:
"I was talking to my wife and I was like, 'You know, it's unbelievable how supportive everyone is. You know? I was very touched.' And she goes, 'Oh, no, no, no! They're not supportive of you, they just hate Logan."

Coffeezilla explains why he didn't host a GoFundMe to raise funds for the legal battle against Logan Paul
At the two-minute mark of the video titled logan paul merch, Coffeezilla explained why he did not use GoFundMe to fund his legal battle against the influencer and professional boxer:
"I said in my video like, 'Hey, I just want to give something back to you guys for supporting.' You know, part of that's like, I feel like GoFundMe is for people who read contracts. But there's another reason that I didn't talk about as much - it's a general guiding principle for the channel that... yeah, I don't know if it was the right move. But this is what I was thinking about."

Coffeezilla added that he was "very uncomfortable" with accepting large sums of money as donations:
"Strangers reached out after my video and were like, 'Hey, can we give you,' and they would name, like, a large amount like $10,000, $20,000 for this lawsuit. And I'm very uncomfortable with that. I said no because I don't like this channel being beholden to anyone else or owing anyone. I don't like taking large amounts of people's money."
As of this writing, Logan Paul has not responded to Coffeezilla's recent videos about the lawsuit.
