"Selling stuff for the sake of making money": Popular YouTuber DanTDM criticizes MrBeast, KSI, and Logan Paul's new business venture
Popular YouTuber DanTDM, known for making content on video games like Minecraft, has openly criticized KSI, MrBeast, and Logan Paul for their new business venture Lunchly. The idea brings together Feastables and PRIME in a lunch box.
The trio announced Lunchly on September 16, 2024, and in just a couple of hours, DanTDM called them out in a post on X. He claimed that YouTubers were only making products to loot money off their big fan base. In the post, DanTDM stated how he can no longer support such behavior:
"What happened to YouTubers man.. I can't not say anything anymore. This is selling stuff for the sake of making money, simple. How does this benefit their fans?"
"Do better": DanTDM's message to YouTubers like KSI, Logan Paul, and MrBeast after they announce Lunchly
While he did not specifically mention MrBeast, Logan Paul, or KSI, DanTDM's criticism of the YouTubers came in reply to a @Dexerto post about the launch of Lunchly.
YouTubers like MrBeast, KSI, and Logan Paul have become prevalent figures on the internet thanks to their immensely successful careers as content creators on the platform. However, these three did not stop with YouTube, having expanded their brands outside content creation.
MrBeast's Feastables brand has become a powerhouse in the chocolate bar section, with the famous creator frequently posting on social media about how he has to increase production to meet high demands.
KSI and Logan Paul have both gone into hand-to-hand combat sports such as boxing and wrestling, with the latter becoming quite a star in the WWE. However, they too have made a name for themselves in the business world with PRIME beverages, which has become highly popular worldwide despite many controversies.
The two YouTube creations, PRIME and Feastables come together in their latest collaboration named Lunchly, which is being marketed as a direct competitor to Lunchables. DanTDM is perhaps the most popular YouTuber to have criticized the move, claiming that products like these are solely for making money and do not help fans.
In his post, DanTDM directly replied to a post about Lunchly and called on his fellow content creators to do better for their communities:
"This is selling cr*p to kids who don't know better than to trust the people who are selling it to them. Do better."
Lunchly is the first major product launch associated with MrBeast after the recent controversy surrounding Ava Kris Tyson. Earlier in July 2024, the long-time friend of the YouTuber was accused of grooming and sending inappropriate messages to minors.
