"The meme is real": Internet reacts to viral Hawk Tuah girl promoting Lunchly with KSI's song in the background
Amid the various feuds and beefs that have erupted Lunchly's owners KSI, Logan Paul, MrBeast, and other YouTubers and content creators like DanTDM and TommyInnit, a clip of the viral Hawk Tuah girl promoting the product on her podcast has garnered a lot of traction on social media.
Furthermore, KSI's new song Thick Of It can be heard playing in the background of the promotional video. For context, the song itself has become a meme after many people trolled the British YouTuber for it. Coupling that with the controversial launch of Lunchly, the clip of the Hawk Tuah girl Haliey Welch eating and praising the pre-packaged lunch box, the video has naturally garnered a lot of reactions online.
This has resulted in a lot of memes about the whole situation, with X user @suayrez posting a viral photo that depicts someone watching Talk Tuah (Hawk Tuah's podcast) while eating a box of Lunchly complete with a PRIME bottle and Feastables bar with KSI's song playing on Spotify.
Some even suggested that Logan Paul, KSI, and MrBeast had set the whole thing up just to capitalize on the meme. Here are some more reactions from X to the promotional video, with numerous netizens making fun of the collaboration:
"Guarantee Logan/KSI saw this [meme] and reached out to her for a collab," claimed @BigMeeish.
"this is so dystopian," said @SquidRon.
"they made the meme real wtf," wrote @dietwock.
"Brain rot overload," commented @LockedinKuminga.
"We are officially in the simulation," claimed @ripflexxico.
"The multiverses collided," posted @7uice_wrld.
Watch: Hawk Tuah girl Haliey Welch promotes Lunchly on her podcast with KSI's song Thick Of It playing in the background
Haliey Welch, better known as Hawk Tuah exploded in popularity earlier this year after a random video of her saying the eponymous line went viral all over social media. Since then, she has been getting invites to podcasts and even partnered with the streaming platform Kick to attend the 2024 DreamHack event.
Lunchly has been under a lot of scrutiny since it was launched by YouTube collaborators MrBeast, KSI, and Logan Paul. The trio has been heavily promoting their new product online, with each individual having made several posts defending Lunchly after it was criticized by many.
Their latest marketing strategy appears to have the Hawk Tuah girl promote it on her podcast. In the short clip, she can be seen sitting on the set of Talk Tuah eating from a box of Lunchly and talking about how she likes her cheese:
"I like my cheese drippy, bruh! So good, lets start the podcast."
Regardless, it seems the marketing strategy has worked. The clip was shared on Instagram by the official pages of Lunchly and Talk Tuah Podcast on October 8 and has since been reshared numerous times on other platforms garnering hundreds of thousands of impressions within hours.
