"The reach on X platform is hard to beat": Elon Musk urges Twitch streamers to multi-stream on his website

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, recently went live on X for stream testing. The businessman usually streams games on his X account @cyb3rgam3r420 and is seen playing Diablo IV. In his recent stream on the platform, he talked about its reach and invited all Twitch streamers to also do live broadcasts on X.

Musk also mentioned that content creators could use OBS, Streamlabs, or any streaming software they wished to stream on the social media platform. The clip from his broadcast inviting streamers to X was picked up and posted by @MarioNawfal. As per the clip, the SpaceX owner was also testing his latest satellite internet service, Starlink:

"If you're streaming to Twitch, you might as well stream to X, too. The reach on the X platform is hard to beat."

Musk was asked about which software would be the best to use by his chat, to which he replied:

"You can use OBS, Streamlabs, or whatever you like. Streamlabs is a little easier to set up, but it'll work with any streaming software. "

Elon Musk says monetization will soon be available on X streaming

Back in January 2024, in one of his test streams, Elon Musk announced live stream monetization would be making an appearance on X. He mentioned that traditional features like clipping, donations, and ads would be added as well as the 'skip ad' feature. Furthermore, a feature where only subscribers could chat with the streamer would be implemented.

Although the current monetization amount isn't as high as expected, the Tesla CEO mentioned that streamers would be getting 100% of the ad revenue they make while streaming on X:

"So if you were to post a stream, any advertising that’s in the replies, you get all the advertising revenue"

Elon Musk has openly invited MrBeast on multiple occasions to start uploading his videos on X. The YouTuber initially declined, only to later upload a video to test the revenue he would make.
