"We're not supposed to question it?": Kick streamer Fousey raises questions regarding Trump assassination attempt
Kick streamer Fousey has courted controversy after speculating on the circumstances surrounding the Donald Trump assassination attempt. For the unversed, the former President was shot by a 20-year-old shooter on July 13, while delivering a speech at a rally near Butler, Pennsylvania.
In his recent livestream, Fousey posed doubts regarding the narrative being shown on TV. The streamer questioned whether he should believe the coverage surrounding the attempt, simply because it was broadcast on TV:
“You want me to believe whatever is on tv, just because it's on the news?... The news? The f***ing news that we always hate on and ... Just because it's on TV, I'm supposed to believe it? We're not even supposed to question it? We're not even thinking about it?"
Fousey then went on to claim that anyone questioning the incident is termed “crazy and loony bins”:
“We are not even supposed to ask questions about it or else we're 'crazy and looney bins', and we're 'psycho'.”
Fousey isn't the only one, as many on the Internet have incited similar conversations regarding the attempt and the circumstances surrounding it.
Fousey gives his perspective on Donald Trump assassination attempt
The streamer subsequently lists the reasons behind his lack of trust in the media and the reported version. He questioned how the 20-year-old shooter got into a position that close to Donald Trump:
“A twenty years old, who has no army experience, no shot whatever, is able to get within a 150 yards of the President, climb onto a roof that is literally in a vantage position that should have been monitored by secret service or homeland security or whoever was there?”
Shortly after the attempt, the assailant was shot dead and identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park. Fousey, visibly frustrated, mentioned a few circumstances that further emboldened his doubts:
“He was able to be spotted by regular civilians at the rally, he was able to be reported to police on duty. But he was still able to take his time, aim, shoot eight times, and the second he shoots and the second he hits him in his ear, all of a sudden he's taken out?”
Fousey is not the only streamer to invite controversy for his comments on the incident. Recently, Kick streamer Destiny also faced intense backlash for hurling expletives at Donald Trump and his supporters following the assassination attempt.
