Minnesota Lynx vs New York Liberty head-to-head, last 5 games and playoff stats for 2024 WNBA Finals

The 2024 WNBA Finals featuring the Minnesota Lynx against the New York Liberty begin Thursday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Minnesota earned the right to face New York after overcoming a gritty Connecticut side that pushed the semis to five games. The Liberty took care of the Las Vegas Aces to book the first seat in the championship round.

The Liberty earned the No. 1 seed in the playoffs after a 32-8 campaign in the regular season. Three of their losses, however, came against the team they will be squaring off in the finals. New York, though, looks ready after dispatching A’ja Wilson and Co. in four games.

Minnesota Lynx vs New York Liberty: Head-to-head:

Minnesota ended the regular season with a 30-10 mark for the No. 2 seed in the playoffs. The Lynx went 3-1 in the season series against the Liberty, including a 94-89 win in the Commissioner’s Cup. New York was the defending champ in the competition but Bridget Carleton and Napheesa Collier dragged the Lynx to victory.

Minnesota Lynx vs New York Liberty: Last 5 games

After sweeping the Phoenix Mercury in the first round of the playoffs, the Minnesota Lynx's series against the Connecticut Sun went the full route. Collier and her teammates outlasted Connecticut in a defensive struggle.

Minnesota Lynx vs New York Liberty: 2024 playoff stats

Minnesota hasn’t been to the finals since 2017 when it won the championship behind Maya Moore. New York, which has never lifted the trophy, hopes to accomplish what it couldn’t do last year.
