Aliyah Boston and Brittney Griner's face off in 2024 WNBA season

During the Indiana Fever's 88-82 victory over the Phoenix Mercury on Jun. 30, 2024, Aliyah Boston and Brittney Griner engaged in a fiercely competitive battle. The two stars clashed in the post throughout the game, with their physical play eventually frustrating Griner, who shoved Boston in a heated moment.

Griner’s actions resulted in a technical foul. After the game, Boston addressed the incident but chose not to dwell on it, maintaining her focus on the Fever’s hard-earned victory.

"It definitely was a battle," Boston had said. "It's hard. I mean, (Griner) she's talented, and once she puts that ball above her head, it's really hard to get there.
"So I just tried my best to make it really hard for her to catch it. Tried not to be mad when she made some shots because that's what she's gonna do ... but it's a tough matchup all the time."

Meanwhile, Both Boston and Griner delivered solid performances for their respective teams on Monday. Boston finished with 11 points, while Griner contributed 13.
