Angel Reese’s $100k bet against Shaquille O'Neal backfires over shooting challenge
WNBA star Angel Reese challenged NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal to a free-throw contest, but it didn't go according to plan. The two former LSU standouts spent time together on the court and Reese thought it was a smart idea to challenge the former LA Lakers star to a shooting challenge.
Shaq, a four-time champion, only made 52.7% of his shots from the charity stripe in his career, so Reese was confident about making a bet with the former star.
The Chicago Sky rookie bet that if O'Neal made the shot, she'd give him $100,000.
"$100,000 if you make this shot," Reese said.
Unfortunately for Reese, the 7-foot-1 big man made the shot in his first attempt.
Neither Reese nor O'Neal confirmed if the WNBA star honored the bet. But it looks like the two were simply having fun on the court.

"Angel is like a daughter to me," O'Neal said at the time.
