Angel Reese shows dramatic hair switch with “Once you go black” TikTok trend following CFDA Awards
On Tuesday, WNBA player Angel Reese revealed a significant change on her Instagram Stories. That came after the Chicago Sky forward showed off her blonde hairstyle when attending the 2024 CFDA Awards on Monday, posing for the cameras in her all-white outfit.
Reese had a white, strapless dress that went well with her blonde hair. She also wore black high heels to contrast with the color of her dress. To top things off, the former LSU star wore a white fur coat.
On her IG stories, she showed a trending transformation video of her hair going from blonde to black. The trending template came from TikTok, with an audio that says, "Once you go black, you never go back."
According to Reese, the outfit was from Jonathan Simkhai. She posted photos of her wearing the white outfit from the event on X (formerly Twitter). The Sky player even had a playful caption on her social media post.
"I could be all the way covered & STILL giving sexy," Reese posted.
The WNBA star wasn't the only celebrity who attended the event. Addison Rae, Tyla, Blake Lively and others attended the 2024 CFDA Awards at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
Shaquille O'Neal called out by fans for his 'creepy' comments on Angel Reese
Shaquille O'Neal had the pleasure of being a guest on Angel Reese's podcast, "Unapologetically Angel," on Friday as the two former LSU stars discussed the topic of WNBA salaries.
During the podcast, O'Neal, who is 52, made a suggestion to the 22-year-old player that didn't go well with most fans.
"Imagine you in them same little a** shorts you had on at the ‘Wild ‘N Out’ show dunking," Shaq said (Timestamp: 1:03.10). "You know how many T-shirts you gon’ sell? You trippin’. Them same little a** shorts you had on at 'Wild ‘n Out.' … I’m just saying."
Fans didn't enjoy what O'Neal said.
"Home girl is visibly uncomfortable," one said.
"That’s so violating and just weird. she looked to that man as a mentor," another fan said.
"Shaq is 52 she 21 this some pdf file tendencies," one fan said.
After Shaq made the suggestion, Reese tried to steer the conversation to a different topic. Since then, O'Neal hasn't made any comments about it.
