Brittney Griner shares glimpse of her relaxed WNBA offseason as Mercury star goes fishing
Phoenix Mercury star Brittney Griner is making the best of the WNBA offseason. The 10-time WNBA All-Star enjoyed her time, relaxing by doing what she loves apart from playing ball.
Griner uploaded an Instagram story featuring a picture of a large water body where she was fishing.
"Gone fishing," she wrote.
Brittney Griner had a decent run with the Mercury last season, averaging 17.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. She played a crucial part in securing the playoff spot for the Mercury. However, the eventual WNBA finalists, the Minnesota Lynx knocked out Griner and the Mercury in the first round of the playoffs.
Griner posted on her Instagram remembering her father on Veterans Day. She accompanied a caption, wishing her father on the day meant to honor the brave souls who have donned the military uniform and sacrificed themselves to serve the people of their country.
"Happy Veterans Day to you dad! 💪🏾" Griner captioned.

Brittney Griner received a heartfelt birthday wish from her wife Cherelle Griner on her birthday. On Oct. 18, Cherelle made an Instagram post featuring moments from the couple's life.
"It’s so easy to love you! Happy birthday honey! You’re the best part of our world 🤍🌏 I pray this year brings you more love, blessings, and peace!" she wrote.
Brittney Grinner responded to the warm gesture:
"As long as i got you i know the year will be good baby. Thank you ❤️"
The first entry on the post featured a selfie of the couple sitting in the back of a car. Cherelle rested her head on the Mercury star's shoulder as she smiled for the pictures.
There was also a picture of the Mercury star changing diapers while blindfolded and a video of the couple standing beside each other during a photoshoot.
