Caitlin Clark's drops candid reaction to her 'crazy' picture highlighted in Instagram meme
Reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark dropped a candid reaction to a meme of herself on social media. Clark is currently enjoying her offseason after an impressive first year in the league. The Indiana Fever made the playoffs but were eliminated in the first round.
In a post on Instagram, the official Barstool Iowa account shared several memes about the campus' "Icons" browser being down. The first one was a photo of Clark looking confused during her Fever practice warmups.
Clark saw the post and couldn't believe her face was the first one she saw. The image captured her in an incredibly meme-worthy moment, and the caption matched her expression perfectly.
"first pic is crazy," Clark commented.
The 22-year-old Iowa product's offseason started early after the Indiana Fever were swept by the Connecticut Sun in the first round of their playoff matchup. Nevertheless, it was still a successful season for Clark and the Fever since they made the postseason for the first time since 2016.
Clark remained in Indiana since her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, is busy preparing for his first year as an assistant coach for Butler. The Bulldogs are set to start their season in about a month. McCaffery will be coaching two of her brothers Jonathan and Patrick.
Caitlin Clark sends message to her followers after historic rookie season
Despite her initial struggles early in the season, Caitlin Clark exceeded expectations to earn 66 out of 67 votes and win the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year award. Clark had a historic season, breaking records left and right, making it hard for her critics to find flaws in her game.
The Indiana Fever star wrote a message for all the people who supported her during the season. She thanked fans for having her back and for being with her since the start of her journey. She is looking forward to her second year in the league.
"Year one ✅ — thank you to the many people who have supported me as I’ve been able to live my childhood dream. I’m filled with gratitude as I reflect on this past year of my life. See you all in year two 🖤💫," Clark wrote.
The Fever have a chance to improve their roster this offseason, although they have some big decisions to make. Kelsey Mitchell is a free agent and surely earned a hefty new contract. The team also needs to protect six players from the upcoming expansion draft.
