Caitlin Clark shares 2 word reaction on hype surrounding Chiefs vs Ravens NFL game
Caitlin Clark is as excited as they come about the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Baltimore Ravens tonight (Thursday). With the 2024 NFL season just hours away from kickoff, fans and even athletes from other sports hyping up what could be a season to remember.
The Indiana Fever guard took to her Instagram story to share a Gameday post from the Chiefs, along with a two-word message, expressing her excitement about the matchup.
"HUGE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Clark captioned the post.
This game will be a rematch of the last AFC Championship, but this time the Ravens will be visiting the Chiefs. Last season, they host Patrick Mahomes and company in a close game where Baltimore failed to establish the running game and tried to outmatch Kansas City.
MVP Lamar Jackson fell short of leading his squad to the Super Bowl, while Mahomes secured a back-to-back win against the San Francisco 49ers in another thrilling game.
Once again, these two teams are favorites to come out of the AFC in January, but it seems like Caitlin Clark will be rooting for only one.
Caitlin Clark dropped her second triple-double of the season
Before showing her support for the Kansas City Chiefs, Caitlin Clark delivered a strong performance against the LA Sparks at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The No. 1 overall pick didn't have the best start to this game, but she dominated the second half, leading her team to victory.
In doing so, Clark recorded the second triple-double of her WNBA career with 24 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. She also became the first rookie and seventh WNBA player to reach the 100 3-pointer mark, adding to her already remarkable rookie season.
The Indiana Fever is one of the hottest teams in the WNBA right now, boasting a 6-1 record in their last seven games. Christie Sides won Coach of the Year honors after a terrific run in August, and the team shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.
Clark has been on a tear since the Olympic break, leading the Fever to the WNBA playoff for the first time since 2016. They boast an 18-16 record and with two weeks left on the schedule, the Fever can make some waves down the stretch.
