Caitlin Clark shouts out Coco Gauff as she stuns Aryna Sabalenka to win maiden French Open title
Caitlin Clark shouted out Tennis star Coco Gauff after she secured her second major career title. On Saturday, the Indiana Fever star shared ESPN's Instagram post congratulating Gauff for winning the French Open.
She mentioned Gauff in the story's caption and accompanied it with three crown emojis.

World No. 2 Coco Gauff defeated top-ranked Sabalenka in Saturday's final after a tense game.
It was the first No. 1 vs. No. 2 final in Paris since 2013, and only the second meeting between the top two players in the past 30 years. The last time the top two faced off in a French Open final was when Serena Williams beat Maria Sharapova.
Caitlin Clark's support for Gauff reinstates the Fever guard's stance on the upliftment of black women in sports. Last year, Clark made headlines after she won the Rookie of the Year and TIME Magazine's Athlete of the Year honors. In her interview with TIME, she discussed her white privilege and advocated for black women in sports.
"This is definitely testing me": Caitlin Clark gets real on being sidelined with injury
It is hard times for the Indiana Fever fans as their superstar Caitlin Clark is sidelined with a quadriceps injury she suffered in the 90-88 loss to the NY Liberty on May 24.
This injury has not only been hard on the team and the fans, but also on Clark herself. Since her high school days, this is the first time the Fever guard has been away from the hardwood for a long time during an active season.
"I love practice. I love getting better,” Clark said on Thursday, according to Indy Star's Chloe Peterson. “I think that's just kind of been the time for me to, like, really find some patience. And I've never been a patient person my entire life, so this is definitely testing me a little bit, but I think it's gonna be really good for me.
"I just tried to approach it in the best way I possibly can. I can't change it, but yeah, I think my patience has definitely grown a lot."
The Fever guard averaged 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 9.3 assists per game before getting injured. Since her temporary departure, the Fever have secured only one win in three games.
According to ESPN, Clark could return for the matchup against the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday.
