The first half saw Indiana's returning big three of Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell get off to a hot start, along with recently acquired forward Natasha Howard.
On the flip side, Chicago struggled to find its range from beyond the arc, with Angel Reese and Rebecca Allen leading all Sky scorers with seven points each.

In the third, Indiana was able to build on its lead, outscoring Chicago in a game that quickly turned increasingly physical. At one point, Caitlin Clark intentionally fouled Angel Reese, who was amid a rough series of possessions, preventing her from taking an open layup.
