"Count your days plum": Kahleah Copper fires back at Kelsey Plum's banter
Kahleah Copper fired back at her Team USA teammate Kelsey Plum in response to Plum's friendly banter. Copper hinted that she will have her revenge after Plum initiated the banter by posting a photo of Copper sleeping as Team USA flew back from Paris after their gold medal win at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
"Count your days plum," Copper tweeted.
Kahleah Copper secured her first Olympic gold at the Paris Games as the USA women's basketball team secured their eighth consecutive gold in the Olympics. Meanwhile, Kelsey Plum secured her second Olympic gold after she hd clinched the championship in the debut 3x3 basketball event in the Tokyo Games.
Team USA edged out France 67-66 in the final on Sunday to take the win. Both Copper and Plum came off the bench to add 12 points each as Team USA narrowly beat the hosts,
“Just (an) unbelievable experience,” Copper said. “Such a great group. I think we all sacrificed a lot for a gold medal, but what better group to do it with. I am happy I am leaving here with a gold medal.”
Kahleah Copper's role was huge in the final moments of the game, scoring 10 of her 12 points in the final quarter. The Phoenix Mercury star made two crucial free throws with 3.9 seconds remaining, which enabled Team USA withstand Gabby Williams' thrilling buzzer-shot to end the game.

After the game, when asked about Kahleah Copper's performance in the final, Wilson expressed her respect for her Team USA teammate's late game eruption.
"That b*tch!" Wilson said while giving a look into the camera to signal the world of Copper's skills.
After Copper made the two free throws to put USA up by three with 3.9 seconds remaining, the game's fate came down to the final second as France's Gabby Williams seemingly made a game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.
However, replays confirmed that her leg had slightly crossed the arc, which led to the USA escaping with the victory.
