The Dallas Win announced Chris Koclanes as their new coach on Monday. He is an assistant coach for the USC Trojans women's team with a decade of experience in the WNBA and Division I basketball.

As a coach, Koclanes is known and respected for his strong defensive background.

His career as a coach began in 2012, when he started with operations for William & Mary. He then transitioned to a video coordinator at Saint Joseph's and USC. His connection to the Dallas Wings goes back to 2016-2022, when he worked alongside Curt Miller, the Wings' current executive vice president, when he was the head coach of the Connecticut Sun.

DiJonai Carrington and Koclanes crossed paths when he was an assistant coach with the Sun. He helped make the team defensively strong during their WNBA Finals run in 2019 and 2022.

DiJonai Carrington reunites with college basketball coach Kim Mulkey

DiJonai Carrington on Dec. 17 met her college coach in an event at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut. The moment was shared in a post on Instagram by her team, the Connecticut Suns with the caption, "This reunion."

Her college coach at Baylor was in Connecticut with the LSU women's basketball team in the Hall of Fame Classic against Seton Hall. LSU came out winners with a comfortable 91-64 victory.

Mulkey's reputation in women's basketball is far-reaching. The Hall of Fame coach led her former team, Baylor, to three national championships and created a record of being the first coach in collegiate basketball history to win national championships as a player, assistant coach and head coach.

DiJonai was with her at Baylor before she got drafted to the WNBA with the 20th pick in 2021. During her sole season there, she averaged 14.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per game and was named Big 12 Newcomer of the Year and the Sixth Person of the Year.
